ACCESS TO RESIDENT PORT

With a resident port and customs clearing office, the GEZ provides ease of importation and exportation. The GEZ also has access to different export channels especially the Kaduna Inland Dry Port; one of Nigeria’s biggest ports that executes over 29,000 containers per annum.

The port has the capacity to deal with mega vessels ensuring easy import of bulk raw materials and export of finished goods. The GEZ provides convenient international shipment of products from and to Kaduna, from anywhere in the world. The port enjoys very positive reviews from existing patrons operating within Northern Nigeria, with very competitive product clearance rates.

Special Economic Zone

Licensed and Regulated by the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority. The GEZ offers competitive incentives to businesses operating in the GEZ.

: The GEZ offers competitive incentives to businesses operating in the GEZ. Such incentives include:

1. Legislative provisions pertaining to taxes, levies, duties, and foreign exchange regulations shall not apply within the free zones.
2. Repatriation of foreign capital investment in the zones at any time with capital appreciation of the investment.
3. Remittance of profits and dividends earned by foreign investors in the zones.
4. No import or export licenses shall be required.
5. Up to 100% of production may be sold in the customs territory against a valid permit, and on payment of appropriate duties.
6. Rent free land at construction stage, thereafter, rent shall be as determined by the Authority or Zone Management.
7. Up to 100% foreign ownership of business in the zones allowable.
8. Foreign managers and qualified personnel may be employed by companies operating in the zones.
9. The import duty on goods manufactured, processed, or assembled in the free zones and exported into the Nigerian customs territory, shall be the rate applicable to the raw materials (in the state in which they are originally introduced into the free zones).
