A Hub for Business
Kaduna State has strong political stability and takes pride in its great historic higher institutions of learning, such as The Ahmadu Bello University, Kaduna State University, Nigerian Defence academy and The Nigerian College of Aviation among many others. Little wonder the state goes by the slogan ‘The Center of Learning’.
Kaduna’s performance in the World Bank’s ease of doing business index has been instrumental in attracting investors. Since 2015 Kaduna has secured investments in excess of $800m. Singaporean agri-business firm Olam International has invested $150m in poultry facilities, while the African Industries Group is investing $600m to build a steel plant that is currently under construction.
Kaduna is fast becoming one of the nation’s largest economies. As of the year 2020, the state had attracted about 25 new local and foreign investors worth $500m. In total, companies have committed to investing nearly $2.1bn over the next two years.
